PRESIDENT: Mr. Sunday Adeboye ADEKOJO (B.sc ACCA, FIPMA)

An Accountant by training, Adekojo is a seasoned accountant on financial and investment expert with wealth of experience in managing a financial institution.
As a senior Accountant, he works in the Internal Audit division of Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN). He once served as a treasurer of this society during the caretaker committee. He is the president and chairperson of the management committee which manages all the investment of the society.

VICE PRESIDENT: Mr. Ibine Benjamin IPINSOKAN

An Executive officer (Admin). He is currently serving at the administrative department of the institute.
He is the chairman of Investment Committee of the society.

SECRETARY: Mr. Tijani Abdul-Akeem ABIODUN (HND, M.Agric.)

A trained and professional Plant Pathologist. He is currently serving as a Laboratory Scientist at crop improvement department of the institute. He is an expert in permanent crop field establishment and consultation.
He is in-charge of Loan and General Administration of the society.

TREASURE: Mr. Olayiwola Maroof Adekunle (HND, M.Agric.)

A seasonal and experienced Agriculturalist. He is chief Agricultural superintendent, currently serving as the head, Fermentary unit of the institute. He is a horticultural expert and consultant.
He is the chairman of Business Centre Committee of the society.

Regular Loan

Repayment is through deduction from the source.

Commodity loan

Members who are interested in any of the household commodity items on display in store may apply for it where such a commodity is out of stock the society can place an order for such. Repayment is through deduction from source within 10 months.

Soft Loan

This replaces our initial emergency loan. As the name implies, it is available to members two times in a year and repayment is through deduction from source within 10 months.

Other services

POS, Online Registration, Subscription, Recharge and get paid.
(a) Portal services repayment is direct deposit into the dedicated society account.
(b) Transport services: The society has one 18 seater bus and a truck. The vehicles are road worthy and cover all states within Nigeria. Please go to download menu, see price rates for different locations.
(c) Consultancy services: This is intended to assist members in their plans to establish on enterprise of their own.
(d) Micro-finance: This is intended to provide financial assistance and establish business relationship with non-members
(e) Retirement savings: Members are encouraged to make deposits for this purpose as this will further enhance their total assets with the society.
(f) Cooperative transactions system: A professional tool that is of immense use in our drive to bring Transparency, Efficiency, Accountability and Mutual-Prosperity (TEAM) to the members.

OUR HISTORY

CRIN Staff Cooperative was born in response to offer financial aids and see to the welfare of her members.
The society began around 1966/67 with few members within the CRIN Staff which include, Dr. L.A Opeke (The First Nigerian Director of the Institute), Mr. Adio Moses (Pioneer President of the society), Mr. Adeogun, Mr. Okoegwale Sunday, Mr. Adeyeye, S.D, Dr. Olunloyo among others.

The society presently has a population of 729 active members grouped into 9 constituencies.
The society holds her business meeting with the representative from each constituency on monthly bases and also conducts its Annual General Meeting (A.G.M.) yearly. The society is duly registered with the Oyo State Ministry of Commerce and industry with registration number 4535 and managed by trusted members of the institute’s staff elected through electoral process. It engages in Investment and Credit Schemes to the benefits of its members.
